ECHO (Emergency Care Help Organization)
Started as a way to provide food and clothing to those in need of short-term assistance in the Brandon area, ECHO's primary means of support comes from the generosity of local civic organizations, churches, businesses, and citizens -- it gets no funding from any local, state, or federal agency.

Would you like to help?  ECHO needs non-perishable food items (spaghetti sauce, dried beans, peanut butter, flour, etc.)  Diapers (sizes 4 and 5) are also needed.

Place your items in the wooden box in the breezeway labeled "Food Pantry" and they will be delivered to ECHO.

MiSTI

Military Support Team Immanuel (MiSTI) is a ministry approved by Immanuel's Board of Elders to provide support to our congregation members associated with the military in any way.

MiSTI assistance may include help during military moves ("PCS" or "Permanent Change of Station"), promotions, retirements, casualty assistance, military ceremonies, funerals, and veterans affairs. MiSTI plans to focus on Immanuel's retired, veteran, and active duty families, as well as our LCMS chaplains and the MacDill AFB military community in the Brandon area.

Please contact us if you or one of your family is a veteran, retired military, or serving on active duty
or if you are interested in being a part of MiSTI.

Email The MiSTI Coordinator thru the Church Office.

SHARE (Self Help And Resource Exchange)

SHARE is a cooperative effort with other area congregations providing quality food through the exchange of volunteer hours.

This is a non-profit community program providing quality food through the exchange of volunteer hours.  $35 worth of food is exchanged for $14 plus volunteer service.

Immanuel has been a host site for this Outreach Ministry established by the Tampa United Methodist Center.  Immanuel’s schedule for Share distribution is the 4th Saturday of every month.

Anyone who volunteers two or more hours a month at the church is eligible-ushers, trustees, elders, Sunday School teachers, greeters, counters, school volunteers, youth workers, etc., as well as anyone volunteering outside the church.

Benjamin Team (Board for Youth & Family Ministry)

The Benjamin Team (Board for Youth & Family Ministry) includes both youth and adults who share a vision for a long-term faithful Youth & Family Ministry. This team works together with the leadership teams for each arena of Youth & Family Ministry (senior youth, middle school youth, pre-teen youth, and families) to enable a faithful ministry that brings the Word into each family’s home, builds a strong community of youth in response to the Word, and equips youth and adults to share the love, joy and peace of Jesus in the community and world.

Vacation Bible School
Each summer, Immanuel conducts a Vacation Bible School (VBS) for our children and the children of our community. Planning and preparation for the actual conduct of the VBS takes several months. As a result, there are many opportunities to serve before, during, and after the week of the VBS.
