Listening Tips for Sermons
on the Web |
|
FIRST tip:
Turn Up The Speaker Volume
- The download speed of the sermon depends on the speed of your connection
to the Internet.
Download
speeds are slow over dial-up connections, and may take more than a
few minutes before playback actually starts.
For a full, rich sound, try using external speakers -- they can
make your listening experience much more enjoyable than your PC speaker,
which tends to make the sermon sound "tinny" or hollow.
No
external speakers? Try using headphones instead.
If you are using a dial-up connection, make sure
the maximum speed setting for your modem is the same as the speed of the modem
or below it. For example, if you have a 56K modem, the maximum
speed setting should be no more than 56K -- in many cases, it should be set
lower than 56K. If you're experiencing
constant dropouts (known as "rebuffering"), lower the setting to
BELOW or HALF your actual connection speed.
